Sure, you could buy a kids Superman or Supergirl suit, but what fun is that? Make your own crazy kids suit and have an easy and fun bonding project with your child. No other kid will have one of these super fun suits. You both will have fun and you will be a Halloween Hero!
1. Fluffy Cloud
What you need:
White clothing (long-sleeve shirt and pants)
Cotton balls or pillow stuffing
Hot glue or safety pins
Light blue construction paper (optional, for raindrops)
Instructions:
Dress your child in white clothing.
Attach cotton balls or pillow stuffing all over the outfit to make them look fluffy.
For added fun, cut out blue raindrop shapes and pin them to hang from the bottom of the shirt or sleeves.
2. Spaghetti and Meatballs
What you need:
Red T-shirt or sweatshirt
Beige or white yarn
Styrofoam balls
Brown paint
Hot glue or safety pins
Instructions:
Dress your child in a red shirt or sweatshirt (to represent tomato sauce).
Attach beige or white yarn to the shirt in a messy, swirled pattern to look like spaghetti.
Paint the Styrofoam balls brown to resemble meatballs, and attach them to the shirt using hot glue or safety pins.
This creative costume will turn your child into a delicious plate of spaghetti and meatballs!
3. Bag of Jelly Beans
What you need:
Clear plastic trash bag
Small colorful balloons
String or ribbon
Paper for a “Jelly Beans” label
Instructions:
Cut holes for arms and legs in the clear plastic trash bag.
Inflate small colorful balloons and fill the bag with them.
Tie the top of the bag loosely around your child's neck with string or ribbon.
Make a paper sign that says “Jelly Beans” and tape it to the front of the bag.
This costume is colorful and fun, and kids love it!
4. Goofy Grapes
What you need:
Purple or green balloons
Safety pins or tape
Purple or green shirt and pants
Instructions:
Dress your child in a purple or green outfit.
Blow up several purple or green balloons and attach them to the outfit with safety pins or tape.
Optionally, add a green cap or headband to represent the stem.
Your child will be a cute and bouncy bunch of grapes!
5. Traffic Light
What you need:
Black T-shirt or dress
Red, yellow, and green felt or construction paper
Hot glue or tape
Instructions:
Dress your child in a black shirt or dress.
Cut out circles of red, yellow, and green felt or paper, and attach them in a vertical line down the shirt to resemble a traffic light.
This costume is easy, colorful, and can be made in just a few minutes.
